Grappling With GERD Symptoms

I was rather startled when I learned my father had developed something often seen as a precursor to a serious cancer.

This was partially as I hadn’t heard of Barrett’s Esophagus, but also because my ol’ pops is actually a strong and healthy man. So I am both trying to understand the relationship between GERD symptoms and Barrett’s Esophagus.

I’ve learned how Barrett’s Esophagus is something many more individuals may be suffering than they realize. While Barrett’s Esophagus isn’t necessarily deadly, it can many times accompany more serious problems such as stomach cancer symptoms and it can also be a precursor to cancer of the esophagus.

I also learned that Barrett’s Esophagus develops because of GERD. So if you think you might be experiencing early GERD Symptoms (like acid reflux or perhaps heartburn), I strongly suggest you start taking precautions now to secure your future health.
