When I first learned that my father had Barrett’s Esophagus, I knew absolutely nothing about this pre-cancerous condition. As I learned more about it, one of the things that disturbed me most was how many other people there were just like me — even well-educated and otherwise attentive people — who knew nothing about Barrett’s Esophagus.

Many people may even be already suffering from it and not realize it. While you don’t have to become immediately alarmed at the prospect of diagnosis, you do need to make smart and proactive choices about your health and diet if you find yourself at risk or already diagnosed.

With this site I hope to help spread awareness and knowledge of Barrett’s Esophagus.
